  • Achieves individual and team objectives set by SLA (Service Contracts) and KPI (Key Performance Indicators)
  • Applies the process and procedures according to business needs for all countries in scope
  • Analyses the documents sent by customers. Investigates the information related to the event (damage, loss, delay) and analysis of the conditions that generated the event and the quantification of the loss generated to the customer.
  • Registers the documents in the system
  • Processes the claims respecting the quality objectives
  • Notifies the customers related to the taken decisions or missing documents. Communicates with third parties involved (e.g. warehouse, third party logistics provider) to clarify all required information (place and reason for damage, responsibilities of the involved parties, checking the financial impact of the damage/ loss/ delay)
  • Takes decisions on payments or refusals (different threshold by country as per appendix)
  • Keeps the evidence of the claims in the system - internal trackers and in Webclaims
  • Offers support in transition of new processes, including participation in tests, meetings and process documentation
  • Documentation maintenance for existing processes, reflecting process changes or clarifications
  • Effective collaboration with business partners, actively engaging and participating in business review meetings (SLAs and KPIs)
  • Support on the analysis and intervention plans for addressing the deviation of business results from the KPIs
  • Flexibility in approaching and solving problems for improving the quality and the services provided
  • Close collaboration with the Team Manager and applies promptly updates related to the delivery of the daily tasks/ work process
  • Respects the performance, quality and timeliness criteria, continuously striving for quality and service improvement
  • Handles other tasks and responsibilities as requested by the business needs, under the coordination of the Team Leader.
  • Responsible for identifying functional training and development needs within the department. Carry out assessments of the skill levels, knowledge and training needs of the employees in their respective department
  • Responsible for setting up the functional training activities (consolidating, tracking)
  • Responsible for optimizing and coordinating an effective onboarding functional training program inside her / his department. Responsible for knowledge management within the Claims team
  • Responsible for the organization, delivery, monitoring and evaluation of training and seminars (incl. preparation/ finalization/ maintenance of training material) in collaboration with Team Manager
  • Responsible for training status reporting
  • Participates in training/other department related projects or activities as required
  • Responsible for supporting the DTP creation and maintenance, in partnership with the Team manager
  • On a need basis, able to provide back-up for all in-scope countries, including selected Team manager tasks

  • Work experience in Shared Service industry, passion for service excellence and a commitment to be the best through attentiveness and responsiveness to the needs of our internal customers.
  • 1-2 years’ experience in claims processing activity
  • Logistics knowledge and experience in transportation damage/ losses/ delays claims (transportation planning, Incoterms and corresponding responsibilities, types of Transportation insurances and corresponding responsibilities)
  • Flexibility to react quickly and effectively on changing requirements and opportunities; ability to deliver against deadlines and to perform against detailed tasks
  • Availability to travel for trainings, new scope transitions and/or business reviews
  • Knowledge in Key software tools (MS Office - Excel, Word, Outlook, Databases, etc.)
  • Excellent time management and tasks’ organizing abilities
  • Ability to work effectively in a customer/ service driven environment, both individually and as a team player
  • Proactive attitude identifying possible issues and the corresponding solutions, including implementation of the solutions
  • Initiative spirit for continuous improvement of the processes, quality and efficiency
  • Internal motivation, enthusiasm, attention to detail, focus on delivering results
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal), on direct and/or virtual collaboration with team members or business partners
  • Fluent spoken and written English
  • Other foreign language – at least B1 level, speaking and writing (only if required by the country/ business partner the Claims processing service)
  • Claims Investigation and negotiations skills, whenever applicable
  • Knowledge and application of General Conditions domestic transport law
  • In-depth knowledge of Claims Processes, TMSs, increased requirements (based on maximum claim value threshold in SGBS scope) on Claims investigation and audit criteria, with all specifics, for 1-2 countries in-scope, depending on the complexity (1-2 processes with difference in process steps, difference in Webclaims mandatory fields per country – from 5 to 20, a total of 8-15 TMSs/ systems knowledge, respecting country specific auditing criteria, Claims investigation and negotiation skills, requiring the knowledge of local domestic transportation laws)
  • Good understanding of training and knowledge management processes, principles and practices
