As part of its strategic vision to grow and strengthen the firm’s position within the business segments that MYTILINEOS operates in, we are currently seeking to hire a Strategy and M&A Project Manager based in Athens.
As a key member of the Strategy and M&A team, you will be working within the Strategic Transactions and Investments teams and will be exposed to M&A transactions on a global level and across the industry sectors that MYTILINEOS operates in, assessing and implementing various investments opportunities pursued by the Company and identifying new business opportunities.
Your role will encompass:
- Support the evaluation and execution of a wide range of transactions (investments and M&A transactions as well as PPPs/concessions), including documentation and contract review
- Undertake comprehensive market research and analysis to identify industry trends, competitive landscapes, potential risks and growth opportunities around the prospective transactions
- Coordinate the overall transaction workstreams (including due diligence, legal documentation, evaluation, accounting and tax analysis) while overseeing the timing and implementation of actions at all stages of implementation
- Develop and maintain financial models to carry out the required financial assessment/ financial modelling of the proposed transactions and present the valuation outputs and metrics
- Identify and evaluate potential business and investment risks associated with the proposed transactions, providing methods and recommendations to manage the risk of investments
- Conduct due diligence for potential transactions, including review and analysis of financial, technical, legal and commercial information and documentation
- Propose financial tools for sustainable financing of the investment where applicable
- Prepare clear and concise reports and presentations for internal stakeholders, including senior leadership
- Collaborate with internal Project Teams and support functions, including finance, legal, and operations, to ensure seamless execution of transactions
- Cooperate when applicable, with external advisors/ consultants to reliably coordinate the various transaction workstreams
What you bring to the role:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Accounting, Finance or Mathematics
- MSc in Finance or other relevant field would be considered an asset
- 7+ years of experience in one or more of the following areas: investment banking, corporate finance /valuations, corporate banking, private equity, Financial Planning and Analysis
- Fluency in English is essential
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills, including proficiency in Excel and financial modeling (including use of VBA tools) and good working knowledge of accounting
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills
- Excellent research and data analysis capabilities
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- A strong interest in corporate strategy, M&A, and the broader business landscape
